Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
For the tenth time we will be meeting in Warsaw for the International
Conference “Hospital Management”. All
previous editions of the conference have been greatly successful. To date, over 2400 high profile hospital
executives, policy makers, experts and industry leaders have attended the
Conference, which has attained the opinion of the most prestigious and most
professionally valued hospital conference in Poland. Among scientific partners of the conference
- Risk Authority of Stanford University Medical Network, University of Sydney, National
Institute of Public Health, Leon Kozminski University, American College of
Physician Executives, American College of Medical Directors, European Committee
for Healthcare Industry COCIR and last but not least, the European Hospital
Federation HOPE - should be mentioned.
Last year, Polish-British Health Summit took place at theHM Conference with personal presence of the UK Ambassador. Two years ago we hosted Polish-Australian Health Summit with personal presence of the Australian Ambassador and Australian Trade Commissioner.
The leading agenda this year is going to be the “Coordinated Health Care: opportunities and challenges”. Together with representatives of the Polish Ministry of Health, with experts, scientists and managers, we will discuss the issues related to organization and cost-effectiveness of managed care. That is crucial, because patient care in Poland is quite uncoordinated at the moment.
As the Conference is the international one, we are planing a very special event this year. It will be the Polish-American Health Summit in cooperation with the US Embassy in Poland. We will have a chance to learn from the American system, which has recently undergone a reform under the Affordable Care Act, so called “Obama care”. Americans are pioneers of managed care medicine. Their recent reforms designate health insurance providers and hospitals as the responsible institutions for provision of comprehensive, cost-effective care for patients. We expect strong representation from the USA. We will also have a number of presentations from innovative American companies active in healthcare sector.
We are currently working on the special session in cooperation with the US National Cancer Institute.
The conference is addressed to hospital executives, hospital owners, investors, as well as to the healthcare industry. Many issues will also be of interest to physicians and nurses involved in hospital management and clinical medicine.

10 Apr 2015. This year, Congress of the European Hospital and Healthcare Federation HOPE: "AGORA 2015" will take place in Warsaw, Poland. For the first time in history, AGORA will be hosted in Poland thanks to the activities of the Polish Hospital Federation and its HOPE Governor, Jaroslaw J. Fedorowski.
Congress has been granted honorary patronage by the Mayor of Warsaw, Ms. Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz and a patronage by the President of the Employers of Poland, Mr. Andrzej Malinowski.
Several media patronages have been granted, by leading daily newspaper publisher and leading healthcare market publishers.

Message from the Chairman of the 7th International Hospital Management Conference, Warsaw, Poland, 20-21 June 2013
""For the seventh time we will be meeting in Warsaw at the International Conference Hospital Management. This year - 2013, the leading agenda is going to be the hospital and healthcare risk management and medical liability. We will exchange experiences and ideas regarding optimal approach to managing risk in healthcare at the times of increasing demands for quality but also in the face of higher costs of liability insurance for hospitals and healthcare professionals. As in many other countries of the European Union, Polish hospitals have been observing continuous pressure from insurance industry, regulators and legal firms. We should mention that patients’ expectation and their awareness for being able to explore legal avenues are reaching the all times high. Unfortunately, most hospitals are facing increased costs with no increase in payments for their services.
Hospital group risk management efforts, which have been already initiated, and are under the auspices of the Polish Hospital Federation, will also be presented. Problems related to hospital liability insurance and crisis management will be discussed. We expect to have great international presence thanks to our partners in the EU and the USA.
At the time of the Conference the general meeting of the Members’ of the Polish Hospital Federation is to take place. The Federation was established on 10.10.2011 and on 18.11.2011 it was admitted as a full member to the European Hospital and Healthcare Federation HOPE. Since then, we have grown into the largest and most representative hospital organization in Poland. We expect participation of HOPE officials and fellow governors.
The conference is directed to hospital executives, hospital owners, as well as to the insurance brokers, risk managers, insurance and re-assurance industry. As always, subjects on IT and medical technology will be important. Many issues will also be of interest to physicians and nurses"

HOPE Board of Governors met for the first time in Warsaw
On 22 October 2012 for the first time in history of HOPE, meeting of the Board of Governors took place in Poland. The meeting was a big success for the Polish Hospital Federation, organizing the event with help of the Termedia medical publishing company of Poznan. Hotel Intercontinental of Warsaw was the venue, providing excellent service. A seminar about new cross-border EY directive was held with participation of representatives from Ministry of Health, National Health Fund and member of the Executive and Council boards of the PFSz.
